26 Things For Trauma, ADHD, Anxiety, and Depression You May Not Have Tried

I have recently read close to 30 non-fiction books on mental health. I noticed a few things; the first is that many of these books often repeat the things that work. Many of the effective treatments are the same. The next thing I noticed was that many of the things we see online aren’t often written about in the top 10 articles under a Google search. I became very frustrated when I typed into Google “Help for anxiety” and Chat GPT written articles kept coming up with the same generic “10 things to do for your mental health.” Most of the articles said, “Eat well, exercise, sleep, don’t drink caffeine, and avoid substances or alcohol.”
What am I supposed to do now? As someone who gets 8 hours a night, eats fairly well, and doesn’t indulge in any substances, coffee, or alcohol? I was annoyed, to say the least. In my opinion, there aren’t enough articles to actually help the general public with their mental health. So as a therapist, avid reader on this topic, and adventurer of all things self-help, here’s my giant list of unconventional mental health supports that I think actually work:
